I’m super pumped to be jumping in my Porsche GT3 Cup for the first round of the Shannons Nationals at The Bend Motorsport Park this weekend.
We were lucky enough to have a test day yesterday (Thursday) and cut some laps, which was really good. It gave me a chance to get a feel for both the car and the circuit and I’m feeling really confident and comfortable.
The track is amazing. The facilities and layout is incredible and I feel so privileged to be one of the first to hit the track.
I’ve been doing a lot of training in the lead up with Webb Performance and I’m feeling super fit and healthy. A big thanks to Josh for helping me to prepare and for pushing me to gain that extra 1%.
Ashley Seward Motorsport have been such a great crew to work with so far. It’s great to be working with them this season, I have no doubt that I’ll learn a lot from them and I’m excited for the year ahead.
Being the first round and my first race for the season, I’m determined to learn as much as I can this weekend and my aim is to finish inside the top 10. Hopefully I can bring home the car straight so that it’s an easy transition onto the next round.
I hit the track for the first Practice session today at 10:45am (ASCT)! You can keep up to date with all of my racing via my Facebook, @coopermurrayracing and my Instagram, @coopermurray36.
